Switch between driver and dispatcher view

Some people drive and dispatch. Once an admin gives you dispatcher access, you sign in once as a driver and switch with one tap. You don't need a second password.

Switch to dispatcher view

1. Sign in to the app as a driver, as usual.
2. On a main screen, tap the headset button in the header (Switch to dispatcher view). You can also tap Dispatcher view on Profile.

The header changes colour and gets the Dispatch label, so you can always tell which view you are in.

If you drive for more than one company, tap the workspace switcher instead and pick your company under Dispatch.

The button appears the next time the app loads your account after the admin gives you access. If you don't see it, close and reopen the app.

The first time on a phone

• The phone needs an internet connection. Without one, the app says Connect to the internet to open dispatcher view the first time.
• If your staff account uses an authenticator app, Confirm it's you asks for the code once on this phone. Not now keeps you in driver view.

Switch back

Tap any of these:

• the truck button in the dispatcher header (Switch to driver view);
• the On shift strip under the header, which shows while you are clocked in;
• Driver view on Me.

You land on your driver home screen.

What stays the same

• Your shift, location sharing and offline deliveries keep running while you are in dispatcher view.
• A delivery proof you started stays saved. The switch button only shows on main screens, so it can't interrupt taking proof.
• Language, appearance and text size are shared by both views.

Signing out

Sign out of dispatcher view on Me only ends dispatcher view. You stay signed in as a driver and can switch back.

Dispatcher view also ends, and you go back to driver view with a message, when:

None of these sign you out as a driver.
